ITBP Medical Officer Selection Process 2026
The Medical Officer Selection Board (MOSB) will conduct the selection process in the following sequence:
1. Documentation
Candidates issued e-admit cards must bring original testimonials with self-attested copies, including Matriculation certificate, qualification certificates, internship certificate, MCI/NMC/State Medical Council registration, and category certificates as applicable.
2. Interview
The interview carries 200 marks and tests general knowledge, academic ability, personality, judgment, and leadership qualities. The minimum qualifying mark is 40% (80 out of 200), uniform across all categories.
3. Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates who qualify the interview undergo PST for height, chest and weight.

ITBP Medical Officer Service Conditions 2026
- Selected candidates must serve the Force for a minimum of 10 years; premature resignation requires refund of 3 months’ pay/allowances or training cost, whichever is higher.
- Probation period is 2 years, extendable by 1 year.
- Candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India or abroad, including extreme climatic conditions.
- Private practice, including consultancy and laboratory practice, is not permitted.
- No extension in service is granted beyond the age of superannuation.
