Why Was the Result Delayed? Court Order Background
The prelims exam was originally conducted on 19 April 2026 (rescheduled from an earlier date of 12 April 2026). The result, however, was withheld for several weeks pending a legal matter before the Jharkhand High Court. The result has now been published in light of an order dated 30 June 2026, passed in W.P.(S) No. 1276/2026 (Vikash Chandra & Ors. vs. The State of Jharkhand & Others) and similar connected cases. This order was uploaded on 2 July 2026, following which JPSC released the result the same day.
The Commission has also clarified that it reserves the right to make corrections in case any error or discrepancy comes to its notice later.
