- College Equity Committee: A team of teachers and students, including members from SC, ST, OBC, and women, to listen to problems.
- Fast Action: If you complain, the committee must take the first step within 24 hours and solve the matter in 15 days. No more long, delaying tactics.
- Helpline & Online Portal: Your college must have a 24/7 phone helpline and website where you can report problems anytime, safely and privately.
What If a College Doesn’t Obey the UGC Bill 2026?
If a college ignores these rules, the UGC can stop its grants (money) or even cancel its recognition. This means the college could be shut down.
