Bollywood actor Pratik Gandhi, popular with films like Madgaon Express, Do Aur Do Pyaar, Agni and Scam 1992 is a widely know face in the film industry. Not only has he worked in the Hindi film industry, but has been a significantly popular actor of the Gujarati cinema. However, when his first web series was released back in the COVID-19 era, it was a magical experience for him overall. Things just changed for Pratik after he did the Hansal Mehta directorial series. In an exclusive interview with Lehren Retro, the on-screen Harshad Mehta recalled the phase of the year 2020, which channeled new horizons of Prahis life, bringing a new morning to his life.
While talking about his life earlier and drawing differences to how it is now, Pratik said that the impact on his fame was seen right from the next day of Scam 1992’s release. He mentioned that while Scam 1992 released on October 9th, people began to recognise him from October 10th itself.

Sharing an incident from the phase, Pratik told Lehren that he was out of his home, buying groceries for his mother. Suddenly, he noticed a girl with her father continuously staring at him and whispering something into his ears. And it was just then that the father came forward, and asked him out if he is the same person who portrayed Harshad Mehta in Scam 1992. Just when he affirmed to his question, there was a huge crowd circling him and that made him realised that something big has happened. As Pratik Gandhi quotes in the interview, “I was almost mobbed by 10 people. So that’s when I realised kuch bahot bada hua hai, abhi kal hi release hui hai ye, aur things completely change overnight.”
Next in Pratik Gandhi’s list is Hansal Mehta’s another big time project, titled “GANDHI”. The interesting part of this series is that the role portrayed by the actress for Kasturba Gandhi, is Pratik’s real-life wife. Bhamini Oza, a popular name in the theatres and also a known actress is signed to come across with the actor for the first time together in a series. Though, the two have worked alot of times together in theatres, but it was almost like a dream coming true when the two of were asked to be casted as the onscreen couple for the film.
