Years after being shown the exit door from Shark Tank India, businessman Ashneer Grover is now all set to comeback with a new TV show. This comeback will soon take place via MX Player’s unscripted series Rise and Fall.
The makers of the new show, released a teaser on Thursday where Ashneer Grover explained the concept of the show. In his own unique style, Grover revealed that the show will see 16 known personalities participating in the show, that will run for 42 days. Similar to the concept of reality show Bigg Boss, Ashneer’s show will showcase a house building divided into two different parts sections. The rich and the powerful, “who make the whole world dance”, will stay on the top. On the other hand, poor people will be at the bottom.
Ashneer Grover became a household name after he was featured in Shark Tank India, a reality TV Show. The show was telecasted on Sony TV. His one-liners and straightforward replies to pitchers grabbed everyone’s attention. During the show, he was also seen scolding several pitchers and got rude time and again. However, he was ousted from the show after its first season. It was because Grover landed in trouble in May 2023 after he was accused of alleged misappropriation of funds at BharatPe.
An EOW FIR was filed against him under sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. Currently, the fourth season of Shark Tank India is underway, with newer sharks onboarded for the show.
