Other Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates must be hailing from Tamil Nadu.
- Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or May 2026.
- Candidates who have already undergone, or are currently undergoing, apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act, 1973, and/or have one year or more of work experience, are NOT eligible to apply.
- Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
- Minimum physical standards will be as prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, and amendments thereof.
Reservation for TNSTC Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27
Reservation guidelines under the Apprentices Act for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD candidates will be followed. Candidates claiming reservation must provide the certificate as per the Government standard format, failing which their claim will be considered under the ‘General’ category only. BC/MBC candidates claiming OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category must produce the OBC(NCL) certificate in the approved format from the certificate-issuing authority.

What is the Selection Process for TNSTC Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27
The Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region) is entrusted with preparing the shortlist from the online application data. Shortlisting is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification applicable to the respective discipline. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated through their registered email ID and must appear for Certificate Verification at the TNSTC Trichy Region Office.
Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending Certificate Verification, and no boarding or lodging expenses are admissible. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship period, the TNSTC Regions, MTC, and SETC TN Ltd have no obligation to offer employment, nor can an apprentice claim any right to employment on the grounds of having completed the Apprenticeship.
