MDL Apprentice Selection Process 2026
The MDL Apprentice 2026 selection will be completed in three stages:
Stage 1 – Online Examination (CBT): A 100-mark, 2-hour multiple choice test based on the syllabus of the respective group’s minimum qualification.
Stage 2 – Document Verification & Trade Allotment: Candidates securing the highest marks in the CBT (group and category wise) will be called for document verification. Original documents related to age, caste, and educational qualification must be produced. After verification, Group A and C candidates will be allotted trades in order of merit on the same day. Absence during trade allotment or non-acceptance of available seats will result in immediate cancellation of candidature.
Stage 3 – Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates must be declared medically fit in accordance with the Apprentices Rules, 1992 by a Medical Officer before joining training. Any specialist tests such as X-rays or blood tests will be borne by the candidate.
MDL Apprentice Stipend 2026
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend credited directly to their savings bank account via ECS as per the Apprentices Act, 1961. No cheque payments will be issued by the company. Candidates must have a PAN card; failing which, income tax will be deducted from the stipend. No hostel accommodation will be provided by MDL.
