The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are expected to announce the much-awaited results for the Group D (Level-1) recruitment drive against CEN No. 08/2024 shortly. Candidates who appeared for the Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted from November 27, 2025, to February 10, 2026, are advised to regularly check the official websites of their respective RRBs.
With the provisional answer key released on February 17, 2026, and the subsequent challenge window now closed, the RRBs are finalizing the merit lists. The recruitment aims to fill a total of 32,438 vacancies across various Level-1 posts.
RRB Group D Result to be Released RRB-Wise in PDF Format
Following the standard practice of Railway Recruitment Boards, the Group D CBT result will not be released on a single portal but will be published individually on the official websites of all 21 RRBs. Candidates who appeared for the exam must check the result link specific to the RRB they applied for.
The result is expected to be published in a PDF format. The first page of this PDF will typically contain important instructions regarding the next stages of the recruitment process, including details about the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and document verification. Subsequent pages will list the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Along with the result PDF, each RRB will also release a separate category-wise cut-off marks PDF for their region.
Here is How to Check the RRB Group D Result, Once Announced
Candidates can follow these steps to view the merit list and their result status:
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the official website of the respective Railway Recruitment Board (e.g., rrbcdg.gov.in, rrbbhopal.gov.in or www.rrbjammu.nic.in) where you had applied.
- Find the Result Link: Look for the link related to “CEN No. 08/2024 (Group D) CBT Result” or “Provisional Selection List” on the homepage or under the ‘Results’ or ‘CEN 08/2024’ section.
- Open the Merit List PDF: Click on the link to open the result PDF. The file may be large, so it might take a moment to load.
- Search for Your Roll Number: Open the PDF and use the search function (Ctrl + F) to find your roll number in the list.
- Check the Cut-Off Marks: Navigate back to the website to download the separate PDF containing the RRB-wise and category-wise cut-off marks. Compare these with your expected score to understand the selection threshold.

Selection Process and Next Steps
The CBT was the first stage of the selection process. Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the merit list have qualified for the next stage: the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) .
The PET will be conducted as per the following criteria:
- Male Candidates: Must be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes and run 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
- Female Candidates: Must be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes and run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.
Candidates are given only one chance to qualify for the PET.

Documents Required for Next Stage
Shortlisted candidates who qualify for the PET will later be called for document verification. It is advisable to keep the following documents ready:
- Rolling Number (as per CBT admit card)
- Class 10th (Matriculation) Marksheet & Certificate (as proof of date of birth and educational qualification)
- Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, etc.)
- Medical Certificate (if applicable)
