KVS Class I Admission Procedure 2026-27

The admission process for Class I follows a structured lottery sequence:

Step 1: RTE Lottery (10 seats) – Draw of lots from SC/ST/EWS/BPL/OBC-NCL/CwSN applicants residing in neighbourhood

Step 2: CwSN Lottery – For Children with Special Needs across all categories

Step 3: Category I & II Admissions – Remaining seats filled from Priority Categories

Step 4: Reservation Shortfall Filling – SC/ST/OBC-NCL shortfall covered from respective categories

Step 5: Other Categories – If seats remain vacant, Category III onwards considered

Documents Required for KVS Admission

  1. Age Proof: Birth certificate issued by competent authority (Municipality/Military Hospital/Village Panchayat)
  2. Caste Certificate: SC/ST/OBC-NCL certificate from competent authority (if applicable)

Admission to Class IX requires passing an admission test conducted by the Vidyalaya.

  • Duration: 3 Hours
  • Total Marks: 100 (20 marks each subject)
  • Qualifying Marks: 33% aggregate (25% for SC/ST/CwSN)

Kendriya Vidyalaya Class XI Admission 2026-27
