While fans celebrated the union of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, who married on December 1, 2025, the moment also brought unexpected attention to Raj’s ex-wife Shhyamali De, whose post on the same day went viral. What began as a joyful event for the couple slowly turned into a wider discussion online, drawing sympathy, curiosity and assumptions about Shhyamali’s emotional state.
Her Instagram story that read, “desperate people do desperate things” circulated widely on the same day of their marriage, leading many to extend support towards her. Soon after two days of their D-day, she shared a long note expressing how the overwhelming reactions had affected her.
Shhyamali Shares Her Emotional State
In her message, Shhyamali wrote that she had a “sleepless night, tossing and turning,” unsure whether she should respond. Eventually, she said she felt it would be “ungrateful and churlish” not to thank the people who reached out with warmth and kind words. She added that she has been practicing meditation for years and believes strongly in sending “peace, love, forgiveness, hope, light, joy, loving-kindness, goodwill and the will to do good.”
According to her, the support she is receiving today is simply that same energy returning to her. Reflecting on this, she wrote, “As a friend reminded me, what I am receiving now is simply that energy returning.”

Clarifying Intentions and Addressing Assumptions
Some users assumed Shhyamali was seeking attention or attempting to gain traction through the situation. Addressing this directly, she wrote a clear message stating that she is not here to create drama nor does she want media attention. This is where she repeated firmly that people expecting breaking news or sensational comments would “not find it here” and she urged them to leave her page respectfully.
At one point in her story, she emphasised that she is not seeking Attention, Media Coverage, Interviews, Brand Promotions, Paid Partnerships or even Sympathy. “Not trying to sell anyone anything” she added, drawing a boundary for her privacy.
Midway through the discussion, she also mentioned that there is much more happening in her life beyond her former husband’s marriage. Shhyamali revealed that her Jyotish Guru has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and that this personal concern is far more important than the noise surrounding the wedding.
For those unaware, Raj Nidimoru and Shhyamali married in 2015 and according to various reports they later got separated in 2022. Raj and Samantha reportedly dated for two years before getting married. On the other hand, actress Samantha’s earlier marriage to Naga Chaitanya ended in 2021 and he later married Sobhita Dhulipala in December 2024.
Through her messages, Shhyamali has made it clear that she wants space, calm and privacy. Her focus is personal healing not public drama, and her note serves as a reminder that not every viral moment needs speculation or noise.
