The Baadshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan recently shared how his son Aryan Khan managed to convince him for the now-viral “Ghante Ka Baadshah” dialogue from the Netflix sensational show The Ba**ds of Bollywood. The actor’s reaction came during his fan interaction at the #SRKDay event where he opened up with his trademark wit, leaving fans in splits.

Aryan Khan’s debut directorial The Ba**ds of Bollywood* has taken the internet by storm, the show known for its sharp satire and bold humour became an instant hit with several moments going viral. One of the most talked-about scenes features Manoj Pahwa’s character angrily saying “Ghante Ka Baadshah” but Shah Rukh Khan feels Manoj made fun of him. The hilarious moment sparked a massive online buzz with fans wondering how SRK agreed to deliver such a line.

During the #SRKDay event, a fan asked the superstar about it and his response left everyone in cheerful mode. Shah Rukh laughed and said he found it very funny when Aryan narrated the idea. “I’m very happy my son has that sense of humour and I’m very happy that the world has changed enough to understand that sense of humour,” SRK said. He revealed how in the past some of his jokes during shows or interviews often evoked strong reactions which made him stop being too candid. “I’m very happy that what I could not do at times and joke with people, and I’m glad my son has that sense of humour,” he added proudly.

The actor also mentioned that Aryan didn’t rely on him to connect with stars but personally reached out to every celebrity featured in the show. “I didn’t go to anyone to cast them. Aryan himself spoke to Salman, Aamir, Ranbir, Ranveer, Karan Johar, even Emraan Hashmi and Arshad Warsi. They were all supportive and okay with making fun of being self-deprecating,” SRK shared. He appreciated how each actor understood the show’s satirical nature and took it sportingly saying, “Aur isme koi real aadmi nahi hai, hum mazaak uda rahe hai ki log entertain ho and I think self-deprecating was very important.”

Speaking further about the scene, SRK laughed and added, “Toh usne mujhe jab bola ki aise ‘Ghante Ka Baadshah’ bolenge toh mujhe actually bahut funny laga vo, mujhe bahut hi funny laga.” He also revealed that he recently watched more episodes of the show and found other actors equally hilarious, saying, “I found it really hilarious.”

Towards the end, Shah Rukh surprised fans by teasing a potential sequel to Aryan’s directorial debut. “We are thinking of a second part of The Ba**ds of Bollywood*,” he said, leaving the audience into wild cheers.
