Job Description
As an Associate Software Engineer at CGI, you will work in a collaborative environment and be responsible for supporting and maintaining Java-based applications. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing L2/L3 support for Java-based applications in production and non-production environments.
- Monitoring application performance and availability using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar.
- Troubleshooting and resolving incidents, service requests, and application issues within defined SLAs.
- Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to identify and fix root causes.
- Performing health checks, log analysis, and proactive maintenance.
- Supporting release management activities including validations and rollback planning.
- Maintaining documentation for processes, known issues, and solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with ITIL processes like incident, problem, and change management.
- Supporting batch jobs, integrations, and middleware components when required.
Skills Required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Java and SQL
- Good understanding of application support processes
