Blake Lively is scheduled to give her deposition on July 17, 2025 as part of her ongoing civil lawsuit she filed against her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni. The date came to light through a court filing by lawyers representing publicists associated with Justin, who were subpoenaed by Blake Lively’s legal team. According to an email dated July 2, “Lively’s deposition is set for July 17.”
The 37-year-old actress has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation which he completely denies. In response, Justin had filed a $400 million counterclaim accusing Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds of extortion and defamation – but recently the claims got dismissed by Judge Lewis J. Liman for lack of evidence.
What Both Sides Are Saying?
Blake Lively’s attorney Mike Gottlieb confirmed she will be testify during the trial expected in March 2026. “The ultimate moment for a plaintiff’s story to be told is at trial,” he said. “Of course she’s going to testify.”

On the other side, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman has promised a tough deposition. “I’m gonna ask her questions under penalty of perjury,” he told TMZ Live. “We have all of the video tape, all the footage. We have the text messages and we have emails. We’re gonna see how consistent her testimony is with the actual facts.”
Freedman even suggested holding the deposition at Madison Square Garden and donating the ticket proceeds to domestic abuse support groups.
Lively responded publicly after the lawsuit dismissal: “Like so many others, I’ve felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit… I’m more resolved than ever to stand for every woman’s right to protect themselves.”
