Veteran Bollywood actress Mandakini’s father passing has left her heartbroken. The Ram Teri Ganga Maili fame actress took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news. Mandakini posted a heartwarming photo of her father Joseph and wrote a deeply emotional note that read, “My heart is shattered today… I lost my beloved father this morning. No words can express the pain of this goodbye.”
She ended the message with a touching line, “Thank you, Papa, for your endless love, wisdom, and blessings. You will forever live in my heart!”
Following her post, fans and followers flooded the comments section with supportive messages and condolences. Many praised her strength and offered prayers for her and her family during this difficult time.
Mandakini’s father’s memory was honoured not just through her words but through the quiet dignity with which she shared her grief publicly.
Mandakini, born Yasmeen Joseph rose to fame with her debut in Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985), directed by the legendary Raj Kapoor. Although she went on to act in films like Dance Dance, Kahan Hai Kanoon and Pyaar Karke Dekho, she gradually stepped away from acting after her last film Zordaar in 1996.
Mandakini has always kept her personal life away from the media. She is married to Dr. Kagyur T Rinpoche Thakur, a former Buddhist monk and the couple have two children.
