In a recent interview with ANI, Dharmendra shared his thoughts on the scene that made headlines. Speaking about the film’s romantic approach, he said, “The filming of the kissing scene was aesthetic. There’s no age for romance.” He explained how the scene was handled with emotional depth and sensitivity, making it stand out.
Dharmendra ’s Funny Take On Kissing Scene With Shabana Azmi
Sharing a light moment, Dharmendra recalled a conversation he had with his co-star Ranveer Singh. He said, “Maine Ranveer ko bola, Ranveer, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani mein, tune to bohot kisses ki hain, aur meri ek hi kiss ne hila dala logo ko.” (I told Ranveer that you have had a lot of kisses on screen, and my one scene turned the world upside down).
Speaking further about his role, Dharmendra added, “In a way, he was like Devdas, the Devdas who wandered in alcohol, with no memory of anything, and then he dies… It’s tragic, and it was a good story.” The layered portrayal of his character added more emotional weight to the romantic comedy.
A Deleted Kissing Scene With Sheeba Agarwal
Interestingly, Dharmendra had another kissing scene with Sheeba Agarwal in the film. In a conversation with Lehren, Sheeba revealed that their liplock was eventually removed to avoid making the scene uncomfortable. Instead, it was replaced with a simple peck on the cheek after creative changes
