Meenakshi Seshadri and Sunny Deol had significant on-screen interaction in the 1987 movie Dacait, which was directed by Rahul Rawail and penned by Javed Akhtar. The film included a romantic moment in which Deol’s character kisses Seshadri’s character on a boat prior to a musical sequence. Despite the scene being filmed, it was eventually removed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and was not included in the final version of the film.
Reflecting on her experience, Seshadri characterized the situation as “nerve-wracking” because of her conservative disposition. Nevertheless, she praised Deol for his professionalism, emphasizing that he helped her feel at ease throughout the shoot. Additionally, she pointed out that the boat’s rocking during the scene introduced a comedic aspect, reminiscing about how her spot-boy, Tiger, would transport her to and from the boat to keep her costume dry—a detail that entertained Deol.
Although the scene was eliminated, the partnership between Seshadri and Deol persisted in numerous successful films, such as Ghayal, Damini, and Ghatak, with Seshadri frequently commending Deol’s professionalism and their robust on-screen chemistry.

Meenakshi concluded her career in cinema following her marriage to investment banker Harish Mysore in 1995. They celebrated a civil wedding and formalized their marriage in New York. The couple is blessed with two children, a daughter and a son.
