Star Plus’ popular show Anupamaa continues to dominate TRP charts while also making headlines for frequent cast changes. As many beloved characters played by Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma, Aashish Mehrotra and others have left the show, which led to speculation among fans that Rupali is the responsible behind these replacements. Amidst the backlash continue to swirl around Rupali Ganguly the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actor Rajesh Kumar has addressed the controversy saying, “Rupali is opening a casting agency.”
Rajesh Kumar ’s Take on Rupali Ganguly’s Alleged Involvement
In a recent interview with Hindi Rush, Rajesh Kumar was asked about his former co-star Rupali Ganguly. Since they share a strong bond, he was questioned about the rumuors surrounding her alleged involvement in cast replacements on Anupamaa. Responding to the claims Rajesh said, “Honestly, main suni suni baaton mein vishwas nahi karta (I don’t believe in hearsay) but during Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, there was never any situation related to casting.”
He further joked about the situation saying, “Maybe she must be thinking of opening a casting agency (laughs).” However, he quickly clarified that he has no concrete information stating, “No, I don’t think so. I don’t know, so how can I comment? Plus, I am not in the television circuit. I don’t even know where her set is. I know it’s in Film City, I have been there, but if you ask me today, I will have to ask someone, ‘Anupamaa ka set kaha hai?’ (Where is the Anupamaa set?).”

Rajesh Shares His Experience With Rupali
Rajesh Kumar also shared some anecdotes about his interactions with Rupali Ganguly, shedding light on their long-standing friendship. He humorously mentioned how she takes a long time to call him back. “Rupali se mile hue mudda ho jata hai aur jitna hum milte hai, hum yeh saare allegations pe baat nahi karte na (By the time I meet Rupali, it’s been a while, and whenever we meet, we don’t discuss such allegations). We live in our own world.” He also added, “I love both brother (Vijay Ganguly) and sister. Rupali is just a call away. Sometimes my missed call reaches her like a courier, and she calls back after 4-5 days. So that’s fine.”
Despite all the speculations, the truth remains unclear until Rupali Ganguly addresses these rumours herself.
