Dallas rapper Yella Beezy whose real name is Markies Deandre Conway was arrested on Thursday in connection with the 2020 murder of fellow rapper Mo3. Accrding to the reports in TMS, authorities claim Beezy hired Kewon Dontrell White to carry out the killing in exchange for payment.
Court documents state that Beezy is accused of intentionally causing the death of Melvin Noble, also known as Mo3, on November 11, 2020. The fatal shooting took place on Interstate 35E in Dallas, where Mo3 was chased on foot and shot multiple times. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The indictment alleges that Yella Beezy paid or promised payment to White for executing the crime. White, who was already in federal custody for firearm charges related to the case, is now formally linked to Beezy as part of a larger investigation. Another suspect, Devin Maurice Brown Jr., is also facing federal charges for his involvement in Mo3’s killing.
