One such controversy that became a big headline in the 90s was his wedding plans being almost-fixed with actress Sangeeta Bijlani. Bijlani was reportedly in an affair with Salman Khan, after they met each other via a TV advertisement. Despite holding an eight year to – a decade long relationship, the two ended up parting ways with each other. However, a news that always revolved around was ‘the printing of wedding cards’.
What has been a controversy sincde the past that Salman Khan and Sangeeta Bijlani were almost ready to get married to each other. Things were all so nicely aligned that their wedding cards were also ready, but it was just the last minute disaster that the wedding was called – off and the two parted ways forever. But there came no confirmation to this ever. It always remained a news with no added truth to it. However, after years of controversies, Salman’s could-be bride has broken her silence on the truth behind whether the wedding cards were printed for her wedding. The veteran lady was recently seen in the Indian Idol Season 15 as a guest, along with Ayesha Jhulka. In a latest promo of the reality show, a contestant raised the question about the ‘wedding cards’. Replying to the same, Sangeeta Bijlani said, “Jhooth toh nahi tha”.
Surprised by her answer, Vishal Dadlani, the judge of the show asked the final truth behind it. He asked Sangeeta about what happened after that, after which the promo ends. The complete story will be unveiled in the show itself where Sangeeta will talk about the marriage that did not happen, for the first time in public. Reportedly, Sangeeta was ready to get married to the star however rumors of his linkup with Pakistani actress Somy Ali came just then, which led to people raise eyebrows. It was after this that the bond ended forever, and no marriage story every proceeded further. Later, Bijlani got married to Mohammad Azharuddin in 1996, and later got divorced in 2019.
