SHOCKING! Kannada Director Guruprasad Found In A Decomposed State, Died At 52

In a shocking turn of events, Kannada director Guruprasad Ramachandra Sharma known for his thought-provoking films like Mata, Eddelu Manjunatha and more was found dead in his Bengaluru apartment on Sunday morning. Guruprasad, 52, was discovered in a decomposed state, hanging from a ceiling fan at his residence in Dasanapura, North Bengaluru. The shocking discovery came to light when neighbours noticed a strong odour coming from his flat.

The tragic incident unfolded around 11 am on Sunday when a security guard alerted residents of an unusual smell from behind tower no. 27. Suspecting it might be garbage, neighbours initially ignored the odour thinking it might be a garbage smell. However, as the smell grew stronger, they used a ladder to peer into Guruprasad’s window, only to find the director hanging. Following this, residents immediately contacted the police who arrived at the scene to start their investigation.

Upon arrival, the Madanayakanahalli police along with a forensic team began collecting evidence. Police confirmed that Kannada director Guruprasad had been dead for several days. They are now piecing together details to understand the circumstances that led to his death.

During the investigation, it emerged that Guruprasad was dealing with significant financial issues. Reports suggest he had borrowed money from various sources, which may have added to his distress. Living alone in his apartment since a year, as per reports he was last seen by his neighbour Jayaram about four days ago, sparking speculation about the pressures he faced in his final days. The police are searching his home for any potential suicide note or other clues that might shed light on his state of mind.

The Kannada film industry and fans are mourning the loss of the director, who was respected for his unique storytelling. Former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S. Bommai expressed his sorrow, calling the incident “deeply painful” and remembering Guruprasad’s valuable contributions to Kannada cinema. Bommai posted in Kannada, “May his soul rest in eternal peace. Om Shanti”.
