The much loved reality TV show Bigg Boss 18 has seen massive viewership over the past month. Right from when the show started, the TRP rates and the viewership ratio have been exceptionally great. This could possible be becase it rolled right after the Bigg Boss OTT 3 , or maybe the viewers are in awe of the current contestants of the house. However, recent reports about the weekend episodes narrate a real popularity-check amongst the audience. The last weekend episode was handled and hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty as Salman Khan seemed busy in his work commitments. Saturday’s Rohit-Shetty led ‘Time ka Taandav’ episode was seen running higher in viewership than the Salman Khan hosted episodes.
The last episode of Bigg Boss 18 garnered a total of 70 million viewership in the live streaming at Jio cinema. The digital platform saw a huge 218% hike than the Salman-led weekends. What goes beyond surprising to the public is that Salman is running this show from a huge time and such viewership has not been seen in a long while so far.
Before this, a higher viewership ratio for the show was witnessed in the previoud ‘Weekend Ka vaar’ epsiode where Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn arrived for the promotion of their film ‘Singham Again’. The episode garnered a 40 million of total views which was not usually seen in Salman Khan hosted episodes earlier. Well, this goes noticed that viewers are liking the show with Rohit’s presence on it.
The last two days of the week at Bigg Boss 18 was histed by Ekta Kapoor and Rohit Shetty, respectively. While the viewers were disappointed by Ekta Kapoor for siding Vivian Dsena and bashing other contestants for calling him out, Rohit Shetty’s attittude to handle the entire situation was largely loved by the audience. Rohit calmly explained the fact to Sara Arfeen Khan on her physical arrogance, and asked her to apologise Esha Singh and Alice Kaushik for demeaning them on national television.
