Filmmaker, Vishal Bhardwaj has roped in Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor for his next action adventure film which is reportedly titled as “Arjun Ustra”. While Shahid Kapoor will take on as the “male lead”, Animal actress Tripti Dimri will take the role of the female lead in the film. But as per several latest reports, it has now been revealed that before, Shahid Kapoor the first choice for the male lead in the action film, Arjun Ustra was Kartik Aaryan.

Yes, you read that right. Well as per an Indiaforums report, Vishal Bhardwaj initially planned on signing up Kartik Aaryan but canceled the plan after witnessing the underwhelming response and box office performance of Kartik’s film, Chandu Champion.
Shahid Kapoor’s casting in Arjun Ustra comes after the underwhelming box-office performance of Kartik Aaryan’s Chandu Champion. Despite critical acclaim, the sports biopic failed commercially, prompting the makers to replace Aaryan with Kapoor for this high-profile project.
