Kannada actor Darshan Thogudeepa, presently behind bars, has acknowledged attacking Renukaswamy, as outlined in a chargesheet tied to a murder investigation. Darshan confessed to targeting Renukaswamy’s chest, neck, and head. He further alleged that actress Pavithra Gowda assaulted the 33-year-old by striking him with her footwear as per a CNN-News18 report.

In the recorded statement actor Darshan revealed, “Renukaswamy was already tired by the time I saw him. It appeared like he was already assaulted”, revealing the areas where he and Pvithra assaulted Renukaswamy, Darshan added, “I kicked him near his neck, chest and head. I hit him with my hands and a wooden branch. I asked Pavithra Gowda to hit him with her slipper”.

Bengaluru police have named Pavithra as the central figure in Renukaswamy’s murder. Their investigation reveals that she wielded considerable influence over the other individuals involved and played an active role in both orchestrating and executing the crime.

On June 9, Renukaswamy’s body was found near a Bengaluru flyover. Police claim Renukaswamy was kidnapped and killed under Darshan’s orders after sending offensive messages to actress Pavithra Gowda.

The post-mortem revealed that Renukaswamy, a fan of Darshan, was brutally assaulted with clubs, subjected to electric shocks in sensitive areas, and thrown against a wall, resulting in multiple fractures. His body reportedly displayed visible signs of injury from the violent attack.
Fifteen people, including Darshan and Pavithra, have been arrested. Renuka Swamy had reportedly sent inappropriate messages to Pavithra Gowda, which allegedly led to his fatal beating. His body was discovered near a stormwater drain in Bengaluru’s Sumanahalli on June 9.
