Stree 2 To Release On THIS OTT Platform After Theatrical Run

Stree2: Directed by Amar Kaushik, the much-awaited Bollywood horror comedy film, “Stree 2” was finally released in the theatres on 15 August. The horror comedy received positive reviews and opened up to impressive collections at the box office, upon its release. Following the same, now the OTT release details of the film have been revealed, a leading OTT platform has secured the digital rights of the film.

Stree 2 OTT Platform And Release Date

As per several reports, the OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video has secured the digital rights of Stree 2. This means that the horror comedy will be released directly on Prime Video after its theatrical run. However, an official confirmation about the same is still awaited.

Meanwhile, talking about the OTT release date of the film is yet to be announced. The 8-week theatre window is the standard theatrical-to-digital window that typically spans around 8 weeks. This means the film will most probably be released on the OTT platform by late October or November. However, the OTT release could be postponed further if the film performs well at the box office.

About Stree 2

In Stree 2, a headless monster named Sarkate terrorizes Chanderi by abducting women. Vicky, Rudra, Jana, Bittu, and Shraddha’s characters team up to defeat him. The trailer reveals Sarkate’s role in creating the vengeful spirit, Stree, prompting Vicky to seek her help against the new threat.

Rajkummar Rao, returns as Vicky, with Shraddha reprising her mysterious nameless role. Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Sunita Rajwar also reprise their roles. New to the cast is Tamannaah Bhatia, who not only makes a special appearance as Shama in the song “Aaj Ki Raat,” but also plays a key role in the movie. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, and Varun Dhawan also have cameos in the film.
