One of the top leading production companies of the film industry, Dharma Productions might officially sell 50% of its stake to a different party. Speculations regarding Karan Johar selling off his production house’s major stakes to big investment conglomerates circled around in the beginning of this month. Now, recent reddit revelations speak of KJo officially signing up for it.
Dharma is known to be a big name in the film and entertainment industry. The production house has launched a bunch of young star kids like Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Pandey, and also some of the top-notch heroes like Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and many more. Earlier, the speculations said that the producer is looking out for a potential deal, and will be accordingly taking the procedure forward. Now a reddit user reveals that Saregama Production house will be buying away the 50% of Dharma’s stakes.

While there is not much authenticity detected in the news. However, because the news comes weeks after the earlier speculations, netizens are willing to believe it now. The cause of the 50% sale is not yet known. Dharma Productions was founded and started by Karan Johar’s father Yash Johar, in 1976. The production starred Amitabh Bachchan in its debut film ‘Dostana’, after which it has only grown and seen success till the present day.

While, others comment that KJo had hinted towards this step long time back.
