In the chargesheet filed by Mumbai Police, actor Salman Khan implicated the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in the shooting outside his home. According to PTI, Salman recounted waking to a sound resembling firecrackers on April 14, at his Galaxy Apartments residence. He believes this was an attempt on his and his family’s lives.
Around 4:55 am, the actor’s police bodyguard alerted him that two individuals on a motorbike had fired at the first-floor balcony. Salman had also mentioned that there had been prior threats to his and his family’s safety. His bodyguard filed a complaint at Bandra police station about the incident. Later, the Dabangg actor discovered that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol had confessed to the attack in a Facebook post.
Additionally, this is not the first time the actor and his family have been exposed to threats by the Bishnoi gang. The Tiger star revealed that the gang members have previously sent threats to kill him and his family. He revealed in a statement, “So, I believe that Lawrence Bishnoi, with the help of his gang members, carried out the firing incident when my family members were sleeping and planning to kill me and my family members.”
Bishnoi Gang Threats To Salman Khan
In 2022, a threat letter was found on a bench near Salman’s building, and in March 2023, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang sent a threat email. In January 2024, two people tried to enter his Panvel farmhouse with fake identities.
This month, police submitted a 1,735-page charge sheet in the firing case, which the court has accepted, finding enough evidence to charge six arrested individuals: Vickykumar Gupta, Sagarkumar Pal, Sonukumar Bishnoi, Mohd Rafiq Choudhary, Harpal Singh, and the late Anujkumar Thapan. Anujkumar allegedly committed suicide in custody, and the remaining five are in judicial custody.
