The much-anticipated film ‘Bad Newz’ finally hit theaters on July 19, generating considerable buzz. Made under the production of Dharma Productions, Amazon Prime, and Leo Media Collective, Bad Newz collectively had a promising start with a handful of mixed reviews coming in.
As the film garners multiple reviews, its OTT release has been locked in. Reports confirm that Bad Newz is set to release on ott platform – Amazon Prime Video. The platform has locked the premiere of this film and will soon have people accessing it via OTT.
The release date on OTT, however, has not been finalized. As per the sources, it will premiere after the theater screening finishes or probably after eight weeks from now. Makers are yet to make an official announcement of the release date but the platform is finalized.
Touted as a mix of comedy, drama, and emotions, Bad Newz is set to enthrall audiences with its hilarious narrative and strong performances. Bad Newz is directed by Anand Tiwari and stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk as the main characters. The film’s plot revolves around a rising chef who turns pregnant with two different fathers, Gurbir Pannu(Ammy) and Akhil Chadha(Vicky). This rare biological phenomenon is named heteropaternal superfecundation. Unknown to many, this film reveals how this phenomenon leads to a lady giving birth to twins, both with a different biological father.
The story is a complete dramedy, inviting a lot of viewers on its first day of box office release. Amidst the mixed reviews of the film, let’s see how well this Dharma movie performs in the theatres.
