Note: Valid GATE score is essential for candidates having B.E./B.Tech. The GATE paper and subject of qualifying degree must be related to the subject/discipline against which the candidate is applying. The NET/GATE score should be valid as on the date of interview.
DRDO DMRL JRF Age Limit 2026
- Upper Age Limit: 28 years as on the closing date of interview
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years or as per Government guidelines
- A copy of the self-attested caste certificate is mandatory to be attached with the applications.
DRDO DMRL JRF Selection Process 2026
The selection process consists of the following stages:
- Shortlisting of eligible candidates based on valid NET/GATE score (for candidates having only B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. degree) and percentage of marks in M.E./M.Tech. (for candidates having M.E./M.Tech. degree).
- Interview of shortlisted candidates at Hyderabad.
Note: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview on a date to be intimated later. At the time of interview, the candidates have to produce original certificates for verification along with a set of self-attested copies of the certificates.
DRDO DMRL JRF Stipend and Tenure 2026
Stipend
JRF will receive a stipend of Rs. 37,000/- plus HRA as per DRDO Rules.
Tenure
The post is temporary and the maximum tenure is 04 (four) years. Initially, the offer is for a period of two years which may be extendable for further two years subject to Internal Screening Committee recommendations. After two years, after an assessment subject to satisfactory performance as per DRDO guidelines, JRF can be elevated to the position of SRF.
Note: The offer does not confer on the candidate any right for absorption in DRDO under any circumstances.

Important Instructions for Application

- The marks obtained in the qualifying exams are to be mentioned as percentage in the excel sheet.
- The candidate needs to submit the supporting document for converting CGPA/CPI to equivalent percentage (%) issued by the concerned University.
- Applications without the required attached supporting documents will not be considered during shortlisting.
