NHSRCL Junior Engineer Job Description 2026

JE (Civil/Track)

Responsible for managing Civil Structures and inspection & maintenance of Track for Operations, Maintenance and/or Project works. Involves shift duties, night-shift maintenance and emergency restoration works as per HSR operational requirements.

Facility Controller (Civil & Track)

Responsible for executing Controller functions in the Operations Control Centre (OCC) pertaining to Civil and Track assets. Duties include authorizing maintenance activities, monitoring track conditions and civil structures via SCADA systems, coordinating with maintenance teams for fault resolution, and supporting safety protocols.

JE (Electrical)

Supervises and assists in maintenance, operation, inspection, testing and troubleshooting of HSR Electrical Systems including Traction Power Supply, Overhead Equipment (OHE), E&M, SCADA works and utility relocation.

Electric Power Controller

Responsible for executing Traction and Power Supply Controller functions in the OCC. Duties include remote control of circuit breakers and switching devices, managing power supply from grid authorities, coordinating emergency detrainment operations, and restoring power supply after faults or outages.

JE (Signalling & Telecom)

Responsible for supervision and maintenance of Electronic Interlocking Systems, ATP/ATO, Signals, Point machines, Axle Counters, and Telecom systems including Radio, Telephone Exchange, PA systems, PIDS, CCTV and FOTS. Also responsible for preparation of maintenance manuals and O&M contract management.

Train Manager

Responsible for safe, punctual and efficient onboard train operations including passenger handling, door safety verification, ticket issuing, ticketing support, coordination with HSR Pilot and OCC, emergency response, evacuation assistance and crowd management.

Station Manager

Responsible for safe and customer-oriented station operations including passenger handling, train dispatch, crowd management, route setting, ATS operations, station administration, customer care, ticketing/revenue management, VIP movement, safety, security and emergency response.

Depot Controller

Responsible for safe depot operations including depot entry/exit of trains, shunting, PTW issuing/cancellation, route setting, and authorization/coordination of maintenance activities with OCC and depot maintenance departments.

Operations Controller

Responsible for Traffic Control functions in OCC, monitoring real-time train performance, managing Passenger Information Systems, Public Address systems, timetable management during disruptions, and planning special services and maintenance possessions.

JE (AFC Systems)

Responsible for overseeing ticketing system delivery, installation and commissioning of AFC gates, TVMs, TOMs, conducting functional and acceptance testing, coordinating with vendors and OEMs for maintenance, and monitoring performance and availability of ticketing systems and infrastructure.


NHSRCL Selection Process 2026

The selection of candidates for NHSRCL Junior Engineer Recruitment 2026 will be completed in three stages:

Stage 1 – Computer Based Test (CBT): An online objective computer-based test will be conducted for all eligible candidates. Candidates are advised to note that the CBT for all posts under Vacancy Notice Nos. 26/2026 to 32/2026 may be conducted on the same day and same time, which is why only one application is permitted across all vacancy notices.

Stage 2 – Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CBT performance will be called for document verification. Original documents including educational qualification certificates, experience/competency certificates, identity proofs and other relevant documents must be produced.

Stage 3 – Medical Examination: The appointment of selected candidates is subject to their medical fitness as per NHSRCL Directives and the Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM). Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed in IDA Pay Scale of Rs. 40,000–1,25,000 (NE-4) with Perks, HRA, Medical Benefits, Other Allowances, EPF and Gratuity as per the extent rules of the corporation.
