FAQs

1. What is the selection process for UPSC Scientist-B Recruitment 2026?
The selection process includes shortlisting (based on desirable qualifications, higher experience, or a Recruitment Test) followed by a Personality Test/Interview. No written exam is guaranteed unless the Commission decides to hold one due to a large number of applications.

2. Can PwBD candidates apply even if the post is not reserved?
Yes. As per the notification, if the post is marked as “suitable for PwBD candidates” (even if not reserved), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (40% or more disability) can apply. They will be considered under the general standard of merit but can get age relaxation and other concessions.
