Selection Process for Bihar Police ASI (Technical) Recruitment 2026
The selection process consists of three stages: Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Medical Examination.
Stage 1: Written Examination (Two Tiers)
Preliminary Examination (Qualifying in nature):
- Total Marks: 100
- Total Questions: 100 (Objective Type)
- Duration: 2 hours
- Subjects: 40 questions on General Knowledge & Current Affairs + 60 questions from chosen technical subject (ECE/ETC/IT/Electrical & Electronics)
- Qualifying Marks: 30% minimum to be eligible for Main Exam
- Shortlisting: 20 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) based on Preliminary marks
Main Examination:
- Paper I (General Language Knowledge): 100 marks (50 marks Hindi + 50 marks English). Duration: 1.5 hours. Qualifying marks: 30% (marks not added to merit).
- Paper II (Technical Subject): 100 marks (100 questions). Duration: 3 hours. Minimum qualifying marks: 33%.
- Negative Marking: 0.2 marks deducted per wrong answer in all papers.
Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Qualifying in Nature (No Marks)
