A video featuring Zareen Khan and Katrina Kaif from the premiere of the 2008 film Race had recently gone viral after the Veer actress shared it on social media which soon led to mixed reactions. In the video it showed Katrina signing an autograph for Zareen, who looked delighted while Katrina appeared expressionless. And this led to online trolling – some accused Katrina of being rude while others claimed Zareen posted the video to intentionally show her in a negative light.
But Zareen Khan is now setting the record straight.
Zareen Khan Reacts to Her Viral Video With Katrina Kaif Video
In an interview with Hindi Rush, Zareen opened up about the context of the video and slammed the negativity surrounding it. She explained that the moment was genuine and very special to her. “Hum fan the unke aur vo ek actress hai,” she said, expressing how happy she was to meet Katrina Kaif.
Zareen further added, “Honestly, uss time pe jab yeh moment ho raha tha main toh itni khush thi that I was around Katrina Kaif, yeh toh maine dekha bhi nahi ki ‘acha unka muhh aisa dikrai, waisa dikrai.’ For me, that was a very heartfelt, special moment.”
“Why the Hell Would I Do That?”
On being accused of posting the clip to shame Katrina to which she quickly responded, “Why the hell would I do that? I’m not that person, I’m not that vicious person. Vicious hoti toh shayad life mein kahi aur hoti chalu cheezein kar karke.”
In the same interview Zareen also reflected on how times have changed in the current digital era. She pointed out that earlier actors didn’t have to worry about being recorded constantly. But today celebrities have to be cautious always expected to look cheerful even when they might be going through personal struggles. Giving this example, Zareen noted that Katrina may also had several things going on in her mind that day, given it was her film’s premiere day.
