Julian McMahon’s Cause of Death Revealed: A week after the passing of Australian actor Julian McMahon, his cause of death has been officially confirmed. According to a report from the Pinellas County Medical Examiner’s Office in Florida as reported by People, McMahon died from lung metastasis caused by head and neck metastatic cancer. The manner of death was ruled natural and his remains have been cremated.
Julian best known for his roles in Charmed, Nip/Tuck and Fantastic Four died on July 2 at the age of 56 in Clearwater, Florida. His wife Kelly McMahon had confirmed the news in a statement shared on July 4 saying, “Julian loved life, his family, friends, work and fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible.”
Following his death, many of Julian McMahon’s co-stars and friends paid tribute to the late actor. Alyssa Milano, who starred with him in Charmed wrote, “He was more than my TV husband. He was a dear friend.” Holly Marie Combs remembered his “unyielding zest for life,” while Rose McGowan called him a “force of brilliance.”
His Nip/Tuck co-stars also remembered him fondly. Dylan Walsh wrote, “Dear Jules, I know you like to flout the boundaries, but this time you’ve gone too far.” Joely Richardson shared a video revisiting their time on the show, calling him “bigger and stronger than the rest of us.”
Julian McMahon is survived by his wife Kelly and daughter Madison.
