Shefali Jariwala, ‘Kaanta Laga’ Fame, Passes Away At 42 After Suspected Cardiac Arrest

Actor and model Shefali Jariwala, best known for the hit music video Kaanta Laga and her appearance on Bigg Boss 13, passed away late Friday night. She was 42. According to initial reports, Shefali suffered a suspected cardiac arrest at home. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, immediately rushed her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.

Visuals from outside Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital surfaced online, showing Parag Tyagi visibly heartbroken. He was seen leaving the hospital after Shefali’s body was sent for postmortem. According to hospital staff, “Shefali had expired before she was brought in. Her husband and a few others accompanied the body.”

The postmortem report is expected by tomorrow, and further medical details are awaited. Meanwhile, police and forensic teams visited Shefali’s residence to gather more information and speak to staff. Though the cause is suspected to be a heart attack, the investigation is ongoing.

Shefali became a household name in 2002 with Kaanta Laga. She also appeared in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and participated in reality shows like Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss 13. She married Parag Tyagi in 2014 after ending her previous marriage with Harmeet Singh of the Meet Bros.

Singer Mika Singh shared his grief on social media, writing, “Still can’t believe it… Shefali will always be remembered for her grace, smile, and spirit. Om Shanti.”

Shefali had earlier spoken about living with epilepsy and how she maintained a disciplined and healthy lifestyle. Her sudden passing has left fans, friends, and the industry in deep shock.
