The months-long legal battle between ‘It Ends With Us’ actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has finally seen a major development. A US judge dismissed Justin Baldoni’s $650 million lawsuit against Blake Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and The New York Times, marking a significant win for the actress.
Justin had accused Blake of defamation and extortion after she filed a sexual harassment complaint against him during the filming of It Ends With Us. However, Judge Lewis J. Liman ruled that Baldoni’s claims lacked sufficient evidence, especially since Blake’s statements were legally protected. Not just that, the judge also dismissed lawsuits against Reynolds and their publicist, though Baldoni still has to amend some claims until June 23.
After the Justin’s lawsuit dismissal, Blake took to Instagram to share her relief. “I’ve felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit,” she wrote, further highlighting how many women often lack the resources to fight such battles. In conclusion, she also shared links to organizations supporting women’s rights, writing, “I’m more resolved than ever to stand for every woman’s right to speak up for their safety and dignity.”

While this lawsuit is over, the legal drama isn’t. A trial between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is set for March 2026, where both sides will present their cases. For now, Blake’s victory sends a strong message about standing up against legal intimidation.
