Pragati Summer Internship Programme 2025: Dibrugarh University has officially launched its much-anticipated Pragati Summer Internship Programme 2025, inviting applications from motivated undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in gaining hands-on research exposure in various science disciplines.
Sponsored by the DST-PURSE grant (Project No. SR/PURSE/2022/143), the internship initiative is designed in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizing skill development, interdisciplinary learning, and workplace integration.
Pragati Summer Internship Programme 2025 Overview
The Pragati Internship Programme aims to bridge the gap between academic concepts and practical applications by integrating workshop experiences with real-world scientific environments. The program is committed to nurturing research aptitude, teamwork, analytical reasoning, decision-making abilities, and professional competencies among aspiring scientists.
The internship is available to 30 undergraduate (UG) students from colleges affiliated with Dibrugarh University and 20 postgraduate (PG) students from across India, irrespective of university affiliation. Selected UG students will undertake a 4-week internship with a stipend of ₹5,000, while PG students will undergo a 6-week internship receiving ₹7,500 as consolidated remuneration.
The internship period will span from 15th June to 15th August 2025. Interns and their supervisors have the flexibility to decide specific start and end dates within this timeframe, ensuring the total internship duration adheres to the prescribed weeks.
Pragati Summer Internship Programme 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Interested candidates must meet the following academic and institutional requirements:
For Undergraduate Internships:
- Must be pursuing the 4th semester of FYUGP under Dibrugarh University.
- Should have no active backlogs.
- Minimum 7.5 CGPA till the 3rd semester; for SC/ST/OBC candidates, the minimum is 7.0 CGPA.
- Only students from colleges affiliated to Dibrugarh University are eligible.
For Postgraduate Internships:
- Must be currently enrolled in the 2nd semester of postgraduate studies.
- No active backlogs should exist.
- Minimum 7.5 CGPA in the 1st semester; for SC/ST/OBC candidates, 7.0 CGPA is acceptable.
- Open to students from any university or college across India.
