After facing multiple difficulties in their first marriages, actors Juhi Babbar and Anup Soni have been happily married for nearly 14 years now and share a son Imaan Soni and recently opened up about their love story and their incredible journey in love. First time bumping into eachother while working on a play produced by Juhi’s mother Nadira Babbar, but guess what? They revealed an interesting detail – neither of them ever proposed to each other!
Juhi Babbar & Anup Soni says, “We never said…”
In the recent interview with Fever FM, during the game called “Who’s the one?” and when asked about who said ‘I love you’ first, both Juhi and Anup looked surprised. Anup responded, “I think humne bola hi nahi shayad” (I think we never said it) adding further, “We never said ‘I love you.’” Juhi laughed and confirmed “Yes” while Anup reiterated “Seriously.” And when the shocked host asked again, “You guys never said ‘I love you’?” the couple replied together, “No, no, of course later we did but initially we don’t think so.”
How their First Date went?
The interview also touched upon other aspects of their relationship. When asked if they remembered their first fight, both admitted they couldn’t recall. On the topic of splitting the bill on their first date, the Crime Patrol star anchor shared, “I paid. That way she (Juhi) was very clear. Vo koi chakkar hi nahi tha iska ki aadha-aadha karenge aur vo sab wala chakkar hi nahi tha (There was no confusion about splitting the bill and all that).” He further revealed, “In our case, it’s not about your money and my money. It’s about our money together.”
Before marrying each other, both had experienced failed marriages. Anup Soni was previously married to Ritu Soni with whom he has two daughters. Juhi Babbar was earlier married to Bejoy Nambiar but they divorced in 2009. After Anup’s divorce from Ritu, he and Juhi tied the knot in a low-key ceremony on March 14, 2011. They welcomed their son in 2012.
