In a shocking turn of events, the globally famous director SS Rajamouli, known for his career defining blockbuster films like Baahubali and RRR, has found himself caught in controversy making headline after a shocking allegation came from his longtime friend Uppalapati Srinivasa Rao who shared more than 34 years of close bond with the director, who accused him of being responsible for his personal and professional downfall. Before attempting suicide, Srinivasa posted a video and also left a letter addressed to the police, as per the reports in Mint.
In the video which is now viral on the internet featuring Srinivasa Rao, said to be SS Rajamouli ‘s longtime friend who dropped claims against Tollwyood director stating, “India’s number one director, SS Rajamouli and Rama Rajamouli, are the reason for my suicide. You might think I am doing this for publicity, but this is my final letter.” He claimed that their 34-year-long friendship suffered because of a woman they both had feelings for. He further said, “He asked me to sacrifice my love for her, and while I didn’t agree at first, I did later on. But he believed I told people about it, and that’s when he started torturing me.”
Further, Srinivasa alleged that they worked together until Yamadonga (2007), but after Rajamouli gained immense success, he abandoned him. “I have no option but to die by suicide. SS Rajamouli ruined my career for a woman. He tortured me so much since he became a big shot. I am 55 years old and have lived a single life.”
Srinivasa also mentioned in his letter that he had written to the police, requesting them to conduct a lie detector test on the director. “Everyone from MM Keeravaani to Chandrasekhar Yeleti and Hanu Raghavapudi knows how close I have been to SS Rajamouli for years now. I never thought a woman could come between us.” He also accused the director of using “black magic” to suppress rivals in the industry.

Meandwhile, SS Rajamouli has not yet responded to these serious allegations. While the police are investigating the matter, many in the film industry are waiting for his official statement.
