‘Singham Again’ vs ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’: No Advance Bookings Yet As Screen Split Debate Continues

The upcoming clash between two of Bollywood’s biggest franchises, its Singham Again vs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which both are set for Diwali release on November 1, 2024. Fans of the original films, Singham (2011) and Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), are excited to see which threequel will come out on top. But, with release day approaching, a dispute over screen allocation is creating delays, leaving fans without any advance booking options for any movie.

According to The Indian Express, T-Series, which is producing Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has asked the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to step in and help ensure fair screen distribution. Currently, Singham Again, distributed by PVR Pictures, holds over 60% of screens at PVR Inox cinemas. It’s also taking most showtimes at some single-screen theaters, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has only been given early morning slots. So, T-Series has requested an even 50-50 split of screens for both movies.

Despite this screen-sharing debate, neither movie has started taking advance bookings. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh commented, “With only a week until release, there’s still no clarity on screen allocation for Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.” He highlighted that this ongoing dispute has delayed pre-bookings and left fans waiting.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again promises a high-powered cast. Ajay Devgn returns as the brave police officer Bajirao Singham, joined by Kareena Kapoor Khan, who plays his wife Avni. Arjun Kapoor will play the main villain, while stars like Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh add to the action. Even superstar Salman Khan is set to make a special appearance. Talking about the story, Singham must use hidden clues from the Ramayana to save Avni from a terrorist named Danger Lanka.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, on the other hand, is directed by Anees Bazmee and brings back Vidya Balan as the unforgettable Manjulika with Kartik Aaryan returning as Rooh Baba. In a twist, Madhuri Dixit also appears as Manjulika, leaving fans curious about who the real ghost is. The plot follows Rooh Baba as he explores a haunted mansion in Kolkata, where he meets two spirits both claiming to be the vengeful Manjulika. With spooky surprises and mysteries, this horror-comedy is set to deliver plenty of chills and laughs.

Both cinematic treats are lined up for Diwali festive, a perfect time for blockbuster releases. But with advance bookings kept still on hold and giving no clear screen arrangement, fans are left guessing how this battle of Singham Again vs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will turn out. With just days before the big day, the final outcome on screen allocation and ultimately, box office success remains a mystery and yet to be seen.
