Business titan, Ratan Tata – the great man behind Tata Indistries & co. passed away today on October 9th,2024. The man of honor is no more as he chooses the way to his final abode at the age of 86. Ratan Tata, was reportedly ill and had ongoing checkups as a “usual-check’.
As per the reports, Ratan Tata was immediately rushed to the hospital when his blood pressure saw a “sudden-drop”, after which he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Breach Candy Hospital. Later, Harsh Goenka confirmed the news of his death by sharing a tweet on his X. As the tweet read, “The clock has stopped ticking. The Titan passes away. #RatanTata was a beacon of integrity, ethical leadership and philanthropy, who has imprinted an indelible mark on the world of business and beyond. He will forever soar high in our memories.” – the entire nation turned out to be in a state of shock.
Although, rumors about his deteriorated health circle around a few days ago which were termed “unfounded” nnd untrue by the man himself. Taking it to his Instagram on October 7th, Ratan Tata stated that the rumors regarding his health concerns are not true, urging his fans and followers to not intervene or think the other way upon the same. This shocking news has given chills to the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered his heartfelt condolences to the deceased. He tweets, “Shri Ratan Tata Ji was a visionary business leader, a compassionate soul and an extraordinary human being. He provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. At the same time, his contribution went far beyond the boardroom. He endeared himself to several people thanks to his humility, kindness and an unwavering commitment to making our society better.”
Other ministers from the ruling and opposition parties also paid their tribute via social media. Rahul Gandhi penned about Ratan Tata stating that he was a man of vision who left a lasting impression on business as well as philanthropy.
Others like Rajnath Singh, cricketer Virendra Sehwag and celebrities also paid their hearty condolences to Ratan Tata.
