The Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina starrer film Jigra released on Friday, October 11th. Despite hitting the cinemas during the Dussehra weekend, the film could not open with better responses. As the film witnessed a major clash with national crush Tripti Dimri’s romantic comedy- Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Alia Bhatt’s Jigra turned out to be significantly average and less-loved by the audience. While many hailed the Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s bond in the film, there were several others who called it another flop by nepo kids, and boring film with a prolonged run time.Film critic and trade analyst Nishit Shaw took to X, to write, “#JIGRA is tiresome. Film is dragged and the entire film revolves around jailbreaking and not the main conflict. The basic issue is that the film isn’t entertaining.
