The sudden death of politician Baba Siddique has left both the political and entertainment communities in shock. Siddique, a well-known figure with strong ties in both industries, was shot dead on Saturday. What has added to the shock is the suspected involvement of the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in the assassination. On the other hand, Bishnoi, who has a long-standing grudge against Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, has reportedly threatened the actor multiple times over the years. In the midst of this tension, director Ram Gopal Varma has publicly called on Salman Khan to take action and plan a counter-move against the gangster.
Director Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) known for his witty, bold and controversial statements. He took to social media soon after Baba Siddique’s murder to comment on the threats Salman Khan has been facing. His tweet gained attention as he pointed out the odd connection between Bollywood and the gangster world, hinting at Lawrence Bishnoi’s involvement in Siddique’s assassination. This came just after reports suggested that Bishnoi’s gang claimed the responsibility for the crime.
In the latest, on Tuesday, RGV made another post on X (formerly Twitter), urging Salman Khan to rise up and issue a “super counter threat” to Bishnoi. In his message, RGV wrote, “I wish @BeingSalmanKhan will give a SUPER COUNTER THREAT to B or otherwise, it will look like a COWARDICE of the TIGER STAR… SK owes it to his fans to rise up as the BIGGER SUPERHERO in comparison to B.”
The director’s comment comes after reports surfaced that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has recruited 60 shooters to target the Bollywood star.
RGV also made a comparison to a recent Bollywood movie. He wrote, “LAWRENCE BISHNOI seems to be more of an ANIMAL than Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Ranbir Kapoor,” referring to the character played by Ranbir Kapoor in the film Animal, a story about revenge.

In a surprising turn, RGV also made a remark about Bishnoi’s appearance, saying no Bollywood actor is as “good-looking” as the gangster. He shared a photo of him and commented, “If a film is based on the BIGGEST GANGSTER, no filmmaker will cast a guy who looks like DAWOOD IBRAHIM or CHOTA RAJAN… But here, I don’t know a single FILM STAR who is more GOOD LOOKING than B.”Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi have had an ongoing conflict that stems from the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Bishnoi, whose community considers blackbucks sacred, has harboured a personal vendetta against the actor ever since.
