After Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba, Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey is now gearing up for the release of his next film, “Sector 36”. The Netflix film trailer was released last week. Upon the release of the trailer, the film garnered huge attention from netizens who are now eagerly anticipating and awaiting the release of the film on the OTT platform, Netflix.

Set in Sector 36, the trailer reveals a gripping investigation where Inspector Ram Charan Pandey (Deepak Dobriyal) races to catch a serial killer, Prem Singh (Vikrant Massey), who lures children with chocolates. The film, inspired by true events, shows the inspector’s personal stake as children from his own slum go missing, but the trailer keeps the full details of the plot under wraps.
Real-Life Story Behind “Sector 36”
However, after seeing the trailer, many netizens were intrigued by Vikrant Massey’s character “Prem Singh” in the Netflix film, Sector 36. For those unfamiliar, Sector 36 is inspired by the infamous 2006 Nithari killings in Noida.
The 2006 Nithari killings involved the abduction, sexual assault, and murder of children and young women in Noida’s Nithari village. Key suspects, domestic worker Surinder Koli and his employer Moninder Singh Pandher, were arrested after victim remains were found near Pandher’s home. Koli is said to have lured children with sweets before killing them and disposing of their bodies.
The horrifying nature of the case shocked the nation. Pandher was found guilty in two cases, and Koli in 10 out of 16. Initially sentenced to death, both men were acquitted by the Allahabad High Court in 2023 due to insufficient evidence.
