While the fans turned into a hardcore enthusiast to buy the tickets for Coldplay’s first ever India concert, many failed to get them due to the early selling out. The seller website Book My Show also crashed due to lakhs of viewers trying to log in altogether. 2025 marks Coldplay’s first-ever concert in India. Prior this, many international artists arrived for their India stage show during Lollapalooza 2024 and 2023. As the trend for international bands and singers go high, fans have raised questions on the chosen location by the event organisers and performers.
Amid the ongoing communications, fans showed disappointment on how every international band is choosing Mumbai city upon their announcement of hosting an India Tour. As netizens drew attention to other cities that could be chosen as the next concert location too, others cross-encountered each other’s remarks as well. As users took to their X expressing feedback on the concert tickets, a user wrote, ‘Why do all international artists only come to Mumbai, we need their concerts in Delhi too‘. Another user suggested the international artists could also host concerts in Hyderabad and Banagalore.

While many agreed to the opinion, others mocked out the thought calling Delhi people too rowdy to host an international concert. A user wrote, ‘No never know some random dude would get on stage and say, ” Gana tera bhai gayega” accompanied with ” Tu janta nahi mera baap kaun he?” Or even asking to play some random song on gunpoint‘. While one said, ‘ International artists can’t risk getting into a kalesh at a concert in Delhi.’

Although this fun banter on Twitter continues, Coldplay organisers have now announced a third show after the first two were completely sold out in less than hours. Post the two shows occuring on 19th and 20th Jan,2025 an additional show of 21st Jan,2025 is announced.
