The season 2 finale of House of the Dragon has leaked online ahead of its official airing this Sunday, August 4. Despite the episode being scheduled to air in just a few days, it has already surfaced on social media, with scenes circulating on Twitter/X and TikTok.
Variety has verified the leak of the House of the Dragon season 2 finale, which first appeared on TikTok. A user uploaded 14 videos showcasing 30 minutes of the episode, and these clips quickly went viral, racking up between 50,000 and 100,000 views each. While the TikTok account was promptly banned, the videos have already spread to X and Reddit, where they continue to circulate widely.
This isn’t the first leak for House of the Dragon. Back in October 2022, the season 1 finale was leaked two days before its scheduled air date. Game of Thrones had its share of leaks as well, including a notable one from season 7.
House of the Dragon, created by George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal, is a fantasy drama that acts as a prequel to Game of Thrones and the second installment in Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series. The latest season has delivered numerous epic moments.
This season delivered the thrilling Battle of Rook’s Rest, where fans said goodbye to Rhaenys Targaryen. The battle intensified with King Aegon II Targaryen sustaining severe injuries, significantly raising the stakes by removing a key dragon rider and weakening the Greens.
The season reached a peak with the debut of new dragons and riders, including Seasmoke, Vermithor, and Silverwing, bringing the Blacks’ total dragon count to seven. The season 2 finale of House of the Dragon will air on August 4.
