Indian 2 To Release On THIS OTT Platform Post Its Theatrical Run

Indian2: Directed by S. Shankar, the highly anticipated Tamil film “Indian 2,” starring Kamal Haasan, finally hit theaters on July 12. Indian 2 which serves as a sequel to the the iconic 1996 vigilante film “Indian,” opened up to “poor reviews” from the public and critics and extremely “low” ratings from IMDb. On the other hand, the latest reports suggest that the digital rights of the film have been sold to a leading OTT platform.

According to Filmibeat, the makers of Kamal Haasan starrer Tamil action thriller, Indian 2 have sold the digital rights of the film to OTT platform, Netflix. This means that the action thriller will be released directly on Netflix after its theatrical run. However, an official confirmation about the same is still awaited.

Meanwhile, talking about the OTT release date of the film, it is yet to be announced. The 8-week theatre window is the standard theatrical-to-digital window that typically spans around 8 weeks. This means the film will most probably be released on the OTT platform by late September or October. But the OTT release could be postponed further if the film performs well at the box office.
