As per Sacnilk, Vicky Kaushal starrer Bad Newz registered a solid opening at the box office worth ₹ 8.3 Cr also becoming the biggest opener by the actor so far. After the opening, the film witnessed significant growth during the weekend, earning ₹ 10.25 Cr on Saturday and ₹ 11.15 Cr on Sunday.

However, after a satisfactory weekend, Bad Newz registered a significant drop during the weekdays. Seeing a huge fall, the film earned ₹ 3.5 Cr on Monday, ₹ 3.75 Cr on Tuesday, ₹ 3.15 Cr on Wednesday, and ₹ 2.75 Cr on Thursday. The first week’s box office total of Bad Newz now stands at ₹ 42.85 Cr. The film is now inching closer to crossing the 50Cr mark.

The film has already recouped half of its production costs, surpassing the ₹40 crore mark at the box office. Despite this milestone, it still falls short of recovering its full budget. Given the current performance and outlook, expectations for further growth are low. As it stands, “Bad Newz” can be regarded as an “average” box office success.
