Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut criticized Bollywood for remaining silent about her recent slap incident. On June 6, at the Chandigarh airport, a CISF officer allegedly slapped Kangana during a security check-in as she was heading to New Delhi. After expressing her disappointment over Bollywood’s lack of response, she deleted her Instagram story.
In her now-deleted Instagram story about the slapping incident, Kangana Ranaut wrote: “Dear film industry, you all are either celebrating or are totally mum on the airport attack on me remember if tomorrow if you walking disarmingly on some street of your country or anywhere else in the world and some Israeli / Palestinian hits you or your children just because you tried to bring eyes to Rafah or stood up for Israeli hostage… then you will see I will be fighting for your rights of free speech, if someday you wonder why I am where I am remember you are not me.”
In another story she wrote, “All eyes on Rafah Gang this can happen to you or your children as well. When you celebrate a terror attack on someone be ready for the day it comes back to you as well.”
Notably, Bollywood stars such as Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Varun Dhawan, among others, showed solidarity with Palestinians by sharing the viral phrase “All Eyes On Rafah” on their Instagram stories.
Meanwhile, CISF personnel Kulwinder, who seemed upset with Ranaut over her stance on the farmer protests, has been suspended, and an FIR has been filed against her.
