Chandu Champion Box Office Verdict: Kartik Aaryan’s Film “Hit Or Flop”?

ChanduChampionBoxOffice: The highly anticipated Bollywood biographical sports drama, “Chandu Champion,” helmed by director Kabir Khan and featuring Kartik Aaryan as Murlikant Petkar, hit theaters on June 14. Although the film received positive reviews from audiences, it had a lukewarm opening at the box office. Now that the film has finished its first week in theaters, it’s time to determine whether the film is a box office success or failure.

Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 7

As per Sacnilk, Chandu Champion registered a box office opening worth ₹ 4.75 Cr. After an underwhelming opening, the film witnessed solid growth during the weekend, earning ₹ 7 Cr on Saturday and ₹ 9.75 Cr on Sunday. Despite seeing a huge drop on its 4th day, the film managed to pass the Monday test and earned ₹ 5 Cr.

Chandu Champion dropped even further on Tuesday earning ₹ 3.25 Cr. Keeping steady the film earned ₹ 3 Cr on Wednesday and ₹ 2.50 Cr on Thursday. Kabir Khan’s sports drama now stands at a domestic box office total of approx. ₹ 35.25 Cr.

Chandu Champion Hit Or A Flop?

Reportedly Chandu Champion has been made on an estimated budget of approx. ₹100–140 crore. Despite registering an underwhelming opening at the box office, Chandu Champion witnessed decent growth over the weekend and has managed to cross the 35cr mark domestically within just one week at the box office. While it hasn’t yet recouped its production costs, given its current trajectory, “Chandu Champion” could be classified as performing between ‘average’ to ‘hit’ status at the box office.
