Reception of Radhe Shyam
For those who don’t know, Radhe Shyam opened to mixed reviews from critics. Even the audience’s word-of-mouth was not in complete favor. In fact, it was majorly inclined on the negative side. While the lavish sets and the performance of Pooja Hegde were praised, the uninteresting screenplay and lack of any emotional depth were pointed out as the biggest minus points of the film.

Budget of Radhe Shyam
Radhe Shyam was made on a grand scale, and many vintage sets were created. Other than that, the film needed some high-quality VFX shots, thus pushing the overall budget. Apart from this, Prabhas’s salary was really high, which ultimately resulted in making this love saga a very grand affair in terms of production costs.
Even though the official number has not been confirmed, Radhe Shyam reportedly carried a budget of 350 crores, making it one of the most expensive Tollywood projects.
Box office deficit
All thanks to the unimpressive reaction of the audience, Radhe Shyam failed to cover a longer distance and ended up earning just 105 crores net at the Indian box office. If compared to the cost of the film (350 crores) to the Indian collection, there’s a huge difference of 245 crores.
While the film might had earned big sum through non-theatrical deals, theatrical verdict is totally related to the budget and how much collection the film makes in front of that budget. So, by that box office norm, Radhe Shyam was a big failure with a deficit of 245 crores at the Indian box office.
